The Inland Empire economy continues to grow at a remarkable rate, largely driven by the entrepreneurial spirit and achievements of individuals and companies that are honored each year at the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Awards program. In an effort to support the entrepreneurial spirit at the collegiate level and contribute to the growth and development of future entrepreneurs of the region, the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at California State University San Bernardino created the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund in 2003.

Each year the fund provides scholarships to selected undergraduate, Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, or MBA students enrolled in the study of entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino. Since 2004, over $250,000 in scholarships have been awarded to a diverse group of students, helping them to fulfill the dream of receiving a degree.

IECE anticipates that recipients of the Spirit of the Entrepreneur Scholarship will launch successful entrepreneurial ventures in the Inland Empire after leaving Cal State San Bernardino and in the future may grace the stage of the Spirit Awards as a finalist of winner. The Spirit of the Entrepreneur Scholarship is truly seeking to plant seeds that may one day grow to successful entrepreneurs!
